The department is located on the first floor, with a spacious undergraduate & postgraduate clinic, two staff rooms, two PG rooms, a seminar room with LCD projector, and sterilization room.

  UG Section
It houses 21 dental chairs and all required equipments, instruments and materials.
  
     
  PG Section
It houses 6 hi-tech dental chairs with all attachments.		  
 
 
     
  Oral Health Museum  
     
  A very informative and educative museum has been specially designed and located on the ground floor to facilitate access to visitors. A TV set and a DVD are also placed in the museum for imparting oral health education.  
 
 
     
  Mobile Dental Service  
     
  A fully equipped mobile dental unit facilitates the provision of community dental services to urban and rural areas.

Camps are conducted on a regular basis.		  
 
 
     
   
     
  Satellite Centres  
     
  Two satellite centres, one in the premises of A.E.C.S. Maaruti Magnolia School and other in PHC, Gottigere are attached to the department.  
     
  Academic Programmes  
     
  Under Graduate Study: This department trains the undergraduate students during the 3rd year of BDS course. The 3rd year programme orients the students towards Community Dentistry with a special emphasis on preventive aspects.  
     
  Under Graduate level:  
 
Rashmi R.K. a final year student won the ‘Topper in the Subject of Community Award’ instituted by the IAPHD for the year 2006.
 
 
The quiz team of this college won the first place in the quiz organized on the occasion of World Health Day at GDC, Bangalore
 
     
  Post Graduate Level:  
 
II National PG Convention was organized at A.E.C.S Maaruti College of Dental Sciences And Research Centre on July 21st -22nd 2006. The event was graced by IAPHD President Padmashree Dr. R.K.Bali and was attended by a record number of delegates from all over India. A remarkable souvenir was released on this occasion.
 
 
Dr. Shweta Somasundara Y. won the first prize for poster presentation at the 3rd State and Interstate IDA Dental Conference 2006
