Did his BDS degree in 1984 from BAPUJI DENTAL COLLEGE, Davangere. He was the best outgoing student of the college for that year. He was felicitated by the Government of Karnataka’s “Yuvajana Kendra Ilakae” for securing first rank in BDS for the state.

He did his masters degree in orthodontics from GDC Bangalore[1986-88]. He has been teaching and practicing orthodontics since then. He became the DIPLOMAT OF INDIAN BOARD OF ORTHODONTICS in 1999. This is awarded by Indian Orthodontic Society after evaluating the quality of finish given to the treated cases.

He has published articles related to orthodontics in various journals and presented papers in national orthodontic conferences. He has been the guest speaker in various CDE programmes. He has been guiding post graduate students for the past three years.
